Privacy policy

1. Who we are
The pixsenses.com website is operated by Les Consultants Pixsenses Inc. (“Pixsenses”, “we”), 32 Saint-Charles Street West, Suite 345, Longueuil, Quebec J4H 1C6, Canada.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), as amended by Law 25.
2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Pixsenses is:
Abderrahman Ourahou, CEO
Email: info@pixsenses.com
Phone: 450 332-5540
Mailing address: 32 Saint-Charles Street West, Suite 345, Longueuil, Quebec J4H 1C6
Please write to him for any question, request for access or correction, or complaint about your personal information.
3. Information we collect and why
We only collect the information needed for the purposes described below.
3.1 Contact form
- Information: first name, last name, email address, subject and message; optionally, phone number and company name.
- Purpose: to answer your request and follow up on our exchanges.
- Consent: you consent by checking the box provided before sending. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge (section 2).
- How it works: the message is sent directly by email to info@pixsenses.com. The website does not store it: no database, no message file, no log containing your information.
3.2 Job applications
- The website does not offer online résumé uploads. If you write to us to apply, we receive the information you choose to send by email (résumé, letter, contact details).
- Purpose: to assess your application for the position concerned, or for a future position if you asked us to.
3.3 Form security (anti-abuse)
- To limit automated submissions, the server computes a non-reversible fingerprint (salted hash) of your IP address and keeps it with the time of your submissions. This fingerprint cannot be used to recover the IP address.
- It is used only to temporarily block too many submissions (more than 5 per hour). Fingerprints older than one hour are automatically erased during subsequent submissions and, at the latest, by a daily clean-up task [to be confirmed at launch].
3.4 Hosting provider technical logs
Like any website, our hosting provider’s server (OVHcloud) records technical logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser) needed for the security and proper operation of the service. Pixsenses does not use these logs to identify you or to measure traffic. They are kept according to the provider’s policy [retention period to be confirmed with OVHcloud].
4. Cookies and other trackers
This website uses no cookies, no analytics tools, no advertising pixels and no profiling technology.
Fonts and all website resources are hosted on our own server: your browser does not contact any third-party service when you view our pages. Links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps send no information to those services unless you click them; once on their site, their own policies apply.
Should we ever add an analytics tool or tracker, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, your consent will be requested beforehand; such features will be turned off by default.
5. Disclosure of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. It is only accessible to staff members who need it to handle your request or application.
We use the following service providers, acting on our behalf:
- OVHcloud: website hosting and sending of form emails. Depending on the plan, servers may be located outside Quebec [specify: Canada or European Union (France)].
- Our email provider [to be completed: provider name and server location for the info@pixsenses.com mailbox].
Disclosure outside Quebec. When information is hosted or processed outside Quebec, Pixsenses first conducts a privacy impact assessment and ensures, by contract, that the information receives adequate protection, in accordance with section 17 of the Act [assessment to be documented].
We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law (for example, at the request of a competent authority).
6. Retention
- On the website: no message or information entered in the form is retained.
- Messages received by email: kept in our mailbox as long as needed to follow up on your request, then at most [2 years] after the last exchange, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Unsuccessful applications: kept for at most [12 months] from receipt, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Anti-abuse fingerprints: at most 24 hours (see 3.3).
At the end of the retention period, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS), strict security headers, restricted access to mailboxes, strong passwords and no storage of messages on the web server.
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned, and we keep an incident register, as required by law.
8. Your rights
Subject to the exceptions provided by law, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request its correction if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal;
- withdraw your consent to its use;
- request that we stop disseminating it or de-index it, in the cases provided by law;
- obtain the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
How to proceed: write to the person in charge (section 2), describing your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will reply in writing within 30 days of receiving the request. Access is free of charge; reasonable fees may be charged for transcription or reproduction, after informing you.
Complaints: if you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (opens in a new tab).
9. Minors
This website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information about a person under 14 years of age without the consent of the person having parental authority.
10. Automated decisions
No decision about you is made exclusively by automated processing of the information collected on this website.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. In the event of a significant change, a notice will be posted on the website.
